How to create and send a survey campaign
Survey campaigns let you send a survey by email and collect answers directly in Easymailing. They are useful for asking for feedback, measuring satisfaction, validating interests or learning more about your contacts.
1. Before you start
Before creating the campaign, you need to have a survey created and active.
If you have not created the survey yet, see How to create and manage surveys.
2. Create a survey campaign
1 Go to Campaigns.
(PENDING IMAGE: sidebar menu with the Campaigns option)
2 Click New campaign.
3 Enter an internal title to identify the campaign.
4 In Channel, select Email.
5 In campaign type, select Survey campaign.
6 Click Save.
3. Choose recipients
In the To step, choose who will receive the campaign.
You can send it to:
- An entire audience.
- A saved segment.
- A custom segment.
- One or more groups.
After saving recipients, the Survey step will be enabled.

4. Select the survey
1 In the Survey step, click Select survey.
2 Choose an active survey from the selected audience.
3 Click Save.
When you select the survey, Easymailing links it to the campaign and prepares the template with the required answer block.
5. Review the template and survey block
The survey campaign must include the survey block in the template. This block lets your contacts answer from the email or access the survey page.
If the campaign does not have a template yet, Easymailing will create a prepared template with the survey block.
If you edit or change the template, make sure you keep the survey block. You can also insert it from Dynamic content in the editor.
6. Configure and send the campaign
After selecting the survey, complete the remaining campaign steps:
- From: configure the sender.
- Subject and preview text: write the email subject.
- Template: review the design and survey block.
- Tracking: enable the tracking options you need.
- Social media: configure publishing options if needed.
Before sending the final campaign, use Send test email to review the content.
When everything is ready, you can Send now or Schedule the campaign.

7. Check results
After sending, you can check results from the campaign statistics and from the survey statistics.
In the survey statistics you can review:
- Total answers.
- Results by question.
- Winning option, for quick questions.
- Rating or NPS distribution, when applicable.
- Open answers.
- Campaigns where answers came from.

8. Special cases
The campaign does not show available surveys
This can happen for two reasons:
- There are no active surveys in the selected audience.
- The survey belongs to a different audience.
Activate the correct survey or change the campaign audience.
You change the campaign audience
If you change recipients and the new audience does not match the selected survey, Easymailing will remove the survey from the campaign. You will need to select another survey from the new audience.
The survey block is missing from the template
If you use a custom template and it does not contain the survey block, Easymailing will warn you. Open the editor, go to Dynamic content and insert the survey block before sending.
