SMS credits are the balance used to send SMS messages from Easymailing. They are independent from email sends and are consumed when you send SMS campaigns, SMS automations or transactional SMS messages, such as double opt-in confirmations when applicable.

Before you start
To purchase or use SMS credits, the SMS feature must be available in your subscription. If you do not see the SMS credits block or the option to buy credits, review your plan or contact support.
Check your SMS credit balance
1 Go to Account.
2 Open My subscription.
3 Review the SMS credits block.
This block shows how many SMS credits have been used and how many credits your account has. You can also open the purchase flow for new SMS credit packs from here.
Buy SMS credits
1 In My subscription, click Buy SMS credits.
2 The Manage your subscription window opens with the SMS credits tab selected.
3 Choose the SMS credit pack you want to purchase.
4 Review the order summary.
5 Complete the payment.
When the order is completed, the credits in the pack are added to your subscription SMS balance.
How consumed credits are calculated
SMS campaign usage depends on three factors:
- the number of recipients;
- the number of SMS segments in the message;
- the SMS credit cost for the destination country.
| Estimate | Recipients by country x message segments x SMS credits per SMS in that country |
For example, a 2-segment message sent to recipients in a country that consumes 1 credit per SMS consumes 2 credits per recipient. If the country consumes 2 credits per SMS, the same message consumes 4 credits per recipient.
Before sending or scheduling an SMS campaign, Easymailing shows a summary with recipients, segments, estimated SMS, estimated credits, country breakdown and the balance before and after the send.
Available credits and reserved credits
During a campaign send, Easymailing can temporarily reserve credits to protect the delivery process. This means the credits available for a new send can be lower than the remaining balance while another campaign is being processed.
When processing finishes, the reservation is released or reconciled with the real usage. The used balance is updated with the credits actually consumed.
Cost by country
Each country can have a different SMS credit cost. You can check the cost by country on the pricing page and in the pre-send summary of an SMS campaign.
Why you cannot send even if you have credits
You may be unable to send an SMS campaign even if you have credits for one of these reasons:
- the available credits are not enough for the send estimate;
- part of the balance is reserved by another campaign in progress;
- the message uses more segments than expected;
- there are recipients in countries without an available SMS rate;
- you do not have confirmed SMS recipients;
- you do not have an active SMS sender;
- the SMS feature is not available in your plan.
