Sender address
The sender email address is the address used by Easymailing to send your campaigns. This address identifies you to your subscribers and affects the deliverability of your emails. Using a free service provider address such as Hotmail, Yahoo, Gmail, etc., negatively impacts the delivery rate of your campaigns.
The main limitation of a free service provider email address is that you do not own the domain, so you cannot make changes to it or enable SPF and DKIM records.
This means you won’t be able to set up domain authentication and will likely face issues delivering your emails.
Most ISPs detect that you are sending emails from a free provider, and will therefore mark your emails as spam, preventing them from reaching your subscribers.
That’s why it is important to use a corporate email address for your email marketing.
Advantages and disadvantages
Disadvantages of using a free email provider
- Cannot authenticate the domain with SPF and DKIM
- Your emails may be marked as spam or not reach your contacts at all
- Your email could be flagged as phishing
- Much lower delivery rates
Advantages of using a corporate email address
- Your company will be recognized by your subscribers, which helps prevent your emails from being marked as spam.
- You can authenticate your domain with SPF and DKIM to improve deliverability.
- You can add BIMI verification to display your company logo in recipients' inboxes and add an extra layer of trust.
April 2025 update
At Easymailing, we've updated our platform to comply with Google's and Yahoo's new domain authentication requirements. If your domain is not authenticated:
- You will not be able to send campaigns to more than 5,000 contacts.
- We will use a temporary address with an authenticated domain (mailbyem.com) to ensure deliverability for small mailings.
