How to authenticate a sending domain – Easymailing

Advantages of authenticating and aligning your domain:

With your domain authenticated, you can add email accounts from that domain without needing to verify them manually.
Improve your delivery rate, reducing the likelihood of your emails ending up in the SPAM folder.
You will no longer see “on behalf of emdlv.net” or “via emdlv.net” in the sender information in some email clients, improving your brand's perception.
Protection against spoofing, which strengthens the security and trust in your emails.
Policy Compliance: It is mandatory to achieve a better delivery rate with providers like Gmail and Yahoo, which have tightened their delivery policies.

Important: If you use a domain from a free provider like Yahoo, Hotmail, or Gmail, you should be aware that you cannot authenticate your domain. For this reason, it is not recommended to use a sender with a domain from a free provider.

Keep in mind that the domain you authenticate must match the domain you use as the sender address in your campaigns. For example, if your sender is marketing@company.com, the domain you need to create in Easymailing is company.com.

To create or modify records in your DNS server, you need to have knowledge of domains and how DNS records work. If you don't have this knowledge, you can delegate this task to your hosting or domain provider.

Step by step to authenticate your domain in Easymailing:

1 Access the Settings panel and select the Verifications tab. In the dropdown, choose sending domains.

2 Click on New domain to begin the authentication process.

3 Enter the email address you will use to send emails (for example, marketing@mycompany.com) and click Save. You will receive an email where you need to click on the verification link. Check "align links" if you want the tracking links to use a subdomain of your main domain to improve your link reputation.

Once your email address has been verified, your domain will appear as verified in the domain list, and you can proceed to authenticate it.

4 Click on the Authenticate option, and a window will open with the DNS entries you need to create in your DNS server.

5 Create the DNS entries shown in the window in the provider where you manage your DNS server. Then, click Authenticate domain to verify that the entries are correctly configured. If everything is correct, the domain will be authenticated. Otherwise, you will see the errors you need to correct.

If you selected "align tracking links," note that an SSL certificate needs to be created for the link domain, and it may take a few minutes.

6 You will see your domain as authenticated and aligned.
