You can change some of your audience settings by going to "Notifications and subscriptions" in the "Settings" drop-down menu of your audience.

The page is split into two blocks: Email and SMS. Changes apply to the audience you are configuring.

Email opt-in subscription

Type of email subscription to your audience. You can choose between "double opt-in" or "single opt-in". The difference is that if you select "double opt-in", your subscribers will have to confirm their subscription by clicking on a link they receive by email. By selecting "single opt-in", the contact subscribes directly to your audience without confirming their email address.

We advise you to always use the "double opt-in" option because this helps ensure that the person has personally subscribed to the audience. Otherwise, another user could add emails to your audience without their consent.

SMS opt-in

Defines how subscription to the SMS channel is confirmed. You can use "single opt-in" to activate the SMS channel directly or "double opt-in" to send a confirmation SMS before considering that channel confirmed.

Email opt-in and SMS opt-in are independent. A contact can be confirmed for email and not confirmed for SMS, or the other way around, depending on the channel they used to subscribe and the configuration applied.

SMS sender

Select the sender that will be used in the confirmation SMS when SMS opt-in is configured as "double opt-in". If you have forms with the SMS channel enabled, the audience needs an active SMS sender to send the confirmation.

Unsubscribe on Hard bounces

By activating this option, Easymailing will unsubscribe the subscriber when a "Hard" bounce occurs in a mailing.

We recommend you to activate this option to keep your list clean and improve your delivery rate.

Unsubscribe on Soft bounces

By activating this option, Easymailing will unsubscribe the subscriber when 5 "Soft" bounces occur in a mailing and the subscriber has a 0 star quality.

We recommend you to activate this option to keep your list clean and improve your delivery rate.

Subscription notifications email

Enter an email if you want to receive an email notification each time a contact subscribes to your audience.

Cancellation notifications email

Enter an email if you want to receive an email notification each time a contact unsubscribes from your audience.

Enable group editing

Activate this option to allow your subscribers to join or leave public groups directly from subscription forms and from the preference editing page.

When you activate this option, you can also configure the Form field title, which is the text subscribers will see when selecting the groups they want to join.

Welcome email

Check this option if you want subscribers to receive a welcome email every time they subscribe to your audience.
