1. Importance of cleaning inactive contacts
Regularly cleaning your contact lists is essential to maintaining a good sender reputation and improving your campaign deliverability. Sending campaigns to inactive contacts or spam traps can cause your emails to be marked as spam or your domain to be blacklisted.
In Easymailing, you can easily clean inactive contacts using the system. Note that only subscribers who have been in the list for more than one month will be considered for cleaning.
2. How to clean inactive contacts in Easymailing?
Follow these steps to clean inactive contacts in Easymailing:
1. Access your audience:
Log in to your Easymailing account and go to the Audiences section. Click on the audience you want to clean.
2. Clean inactive contacts:
From the top bar, click on Manage subscribers and select Clean inactive contacts.
3. Select inactivity period:
On the cleaning screen, you can choose between three options based on the inactivity period:
- Clean by unopened campaigns: Contacts who haven’t opened the last X campaigns you specify will be removed from your audience.
- Clean by months of inactivity: Contacts who haven’t opened any campaigns in the last X months will be removed.
4. Confirm the cleaning:
After selecting the inactivity period, the system will search for contacts matching the selected criteria and display a list of those to be removed.
You must confirm the cleaning to proceed.
3. Important considerations:
- The cleaning process may take a few minutes, depending on the number of contacts selected.
- You don’t have to wait for it to finish; you can continue using the platform. Once completed, you’ll receive a confirmation notification.
Performing regular cleanups not only improves the deliverability of your campaigns but also protects your sender reputation by avoiding blacklist issues and ensuring your messages reach the most engaged recipients.
