Here's how to add background images to your content rows to create even more stunning emails.
How to do this?
When you select a row on the canvas, you will see that the Row properties panel includes a "row background image" property section:
Selecting the image
Once you click to enable this feature, you can upload the image to use as a background through the file manager using the Change image button. You can also copy and paste the URL of the image into the URL field if you want to use an image hosted elsewhere.
Image Positioning Settings: Full Width, Repeat, and Center
These three settings: full width, repeat and center, are important to align and find the best fit for your background image or pattern within your message.
Full width
Used to make the background image fill the full width of the row.
For example, here is a stripe pattern repeated in a complete row.
If you do not select "Full width" the image will only span the "Content area width" that you have previously set in "Settings".
Repeat
When selected, the image is repeated. This works well with symmetrical patterns.
Use Full Width and Repeat Together if you want to repeat a pattern across the width of the row.If the row is higher than the height of the image, the pattern will also repeat vertically.
Center
- If you select this option, the image is centered.
- "Repeat" + "Center": the image is centered and repeated to the left and right.
- Only "Repeat" without"Center": the image is placed in the top left corner of the row and then repeated on the right.
Email client compatibility
The editor uses advanced email design techniques to ensure that background images are displayed in most email clients. According to our most recent tests, the only email clients for which background images were not displayed were:
- Outlook desktop on Windows.
Background images work in Outlook 2011 and Outlook 2016 on OS X and outlook.com. - Lotus Notes 7
- fr email client
- T-Online.de email client
- Xfinity / Comcast email Client
