Easymailing incorporates a series of tools that help you comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):
- It allows you to analyze each of your subscribers in detail, distinguishing between those who have given their authorization and those who have not.
- It enables you to designate a data processing officer and specify the purposes for which the data will be used, something that is essential to display on the subscription form.
- Double opt-in confirmation procedure in the subscription process of a contact, to have a greater guarantee of your subscribers' consent.
- Forms that comply with all the GDPR requirements that must be known to the user.

1. Setting up data processing officers in Easymailing
Your company may need to appoint a data processing officer. You can find more information in the article About the data protection regulation.
To do this, go to the configuration section in the main menu, click on the GDPR dropdown tab and select "Data Processing Officers." Click on "New Officer."
Fill in the requested information and click save. Later, you can associate the officer with your audience.
Keep in mind that this information will be public at the time of your contact's subscription, so that the user knows which member of the company to address in case of any conflict.
2. Set up purposes of data processing
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a European Union regulation aimed at protecting the privacy and personal data of its citizens. One of the main aspects of the GDPR is the need to establish clear and precise purposes for the processing of personal data.
To do this, click on the “Purposes of processing” tab and click on “New purpose.” From your audience, you can select the purposes you have registered.
Translations: Through this dropdown, you can switch from one language to another to translate the purpose of processing.
Purpose: Through this editor, we include the text of the purpose. Additionally, you also have the option to include links to specific URLs, such as the privacy policy of your website.
Description: This description is for internal use and will help you easily identify the purpose of processing.
3. Assign a data processing officer and purposes from the Audiences section
You can associate the officer and the purposes with your audience from the “Audiences” section.
Select an audience, click on "GDPR" within the "Settings" dropdown. From here, you can select some of the officers and purposes you have created or register some new ones. You must also add the URL where you have your company's privacy policy.
4. Add purposes and GDPR block to your forms
In this section, we will show you how to easily integrate the purposes and the GDPR block into your forms through the template editor, allowing you to design forms that comply with GDPR regulations effectively and easily.
How to add purposes
Select the form you want to edit and click on the blue button "Add a new field" and select "Purposes of processing."
Then, make any adjustments you see fit and click on the "Save and exit" button.
If you now preview the form, you will see the purposes you have included.
How to add the GDPR block
To add the GDPR block, click on "CONTENT" and drag the "DYNAMIC CONTENT" block to the form, then click on the block and select "GDPR."
Upon saving and previewing the form, you will be able to see how the block is correctly displayed in the form's design.
