Domain alignment is a crucial process for improving brand consistency and trust in the links within the emails you send. By aligning your domain, the return path of your emails will use your own domain, which will be aligned with the "from" and the DKIM signature domain. Additionally, the tracking links will use your own domain, which will improve your reputation as a sender by not sharing it with other users.
This process significantly improves the delivery rate and is especially important to comply with the delivery policies of providers like Gmail and Yahoo, which introduced changes in February 2024.
Advantages of Domain Alignment
- Improved Deliverability: Aligning your domain can increase the delivery rate of your emails.
- Brand Consistency: Using your own domain for the return path and tracking links reinforces your brand's consistency.
- Sender Reputation: By not sharing your tracking domain with other users, you improve your reputation as a sender.
- Policy Compliance: It is mandatory to have a better delivery rate with providers like Gmail and Yahoo, which have tightened their delivery policies.
